The Greenwood Seneca Foundation is a Black and woman-run nonprofit with the mission of supporting Black people to reconnect to sites of history with more joy and honor. On July 25th, they are partnering with the Association of African American Museum to host their first Your Legacy Tour at Traveller’s Rest Historic House Museum on the opening night of the Museums Music and Movements conference. Your Legacy Tours is a curated experience that centers the Black visitor and our unique needs of being in a space with a history tied to enslavement.
The event will include a chartered bus ride to the venue, music, libations, laughter, tears, learning and unlearning. There will be special guests who lead us in discussion after the tour. Make sure to mark your calendars for a time of togetherness, reflection, and fellowship.
“Nashville is rich in ancestral energy. Your legacy tours is an invitation for the local community to commune with the ancestors already here. We hope you join us for this and all upcoming events” -Tammy Gordon
