Tennessee State University (TSU) has successfully raised over $600,000 in its 2024 year-end giving campaign to support graduating seniors. The initiative, aimed at reducing student debt, was driven by the university’s alumni, friends, and supporters. Central to the campaign was a matching gift challenge from alumni Amos and Brenda Otis, who pledged to match every donation made on Giving Tuesday.
This effort is part of the #FutureReadyTSU and #CloseTheGap campaigns, designed to help students finalize their degrees without financial barriers. TSU’s interim President, Dwayne Tucker, expressed pride in the increasing alumni participation, while Dr. LoLita Toney, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, highlighted the collective power of the TSU community’s contributions.
With a goal to build on this momentum, TSU looks forward to expanding opportunities for students in 2025 and beyond. For more information, visit giving.tnstate.edu.
