Social Pics: Brittney Oliver celebrates 10 Years of L2L

L2L, one of Nashville’s dearest community organization turned 10, and it was a beautiful sight to see. Tucked away in the cutest girls day out space with the brand’s signature lemon theme welcoming you in, the L2L 10 year celebratation was giving all it needed to give. Founded by Brittney Oliver, L2L is one of the best networking and community-centered organizations for women in Nashville. Every event is super intentional from the theme, decor to the event activations, partnerships and women in the room.

In a season that can feel uncertain, L2L has remained constant, innovative, and focused on ensuring women in this city feel seen, heard and equipped with resources. Brittney is from Clarksville, but she started her brand in NY while pursuing her career. Deciding to bring it to Nashville was not taken lightly, and her saying yes has created a domino effect of connection, peace, and love for so many.

As Brittney shares, “Ten years ago, I never thought my desire to create a networking event—one that made room for people to feel seen, heard, and equipped with resources—would continue and take on a world of its own. It’s now more than a networking event; it’s a space for connection. I brought L2L to Nashville for the first time in June 2018, and this chapter of L2L really stretched me as a founder navigating a new market that isn’t as career-ambitious as NYC.  I found Nashville to be a place where women like me were looking for a space where they belonged and could relax. It was a space to be social that wasn’t a party where they didn’t have to perform, so I started adding more social and wellness activities. They could learn, engage and feel fulfilled… whatever that means to them.”

During the celebration, Brittney had a full display of the social and wellness activities L2L has become known for. There were so many amazing women-owned brands that poured their heart into providing a fun experience for everyone in the room.

The local women-owned brand that brought the event to life…

  • Event design styling and Floral Bar: The Clarity Shop
  • Venue: The Maxwell Room
  • Music: DJ Youngblood (Anisha Youngblood)
  • Candles: Lola Grace Home Essentials
  • Tea: Monet Infusionz
  • Bites: Maison Furaha
  • Desserts: Sweet Hook Ups
  • Bar: Jessica Thompson & Crown Royal

Plus, there was a gifting suite with Diptyque Nashville, Perfectly Cordial, Flodesk, Skyn Nashville, and Levain Bakery (coming soon to Nashville).
As Brittney reflects, “Someone told me they felt joy, peace and seen on Saturday and that’s what I hope all of my events feel like. The L2L Nashville era as a founder also stretched me as I navigated a pandemic and my own personal lemons of health and grief. There were women in that room who supported me through those challenges and continue to come early to help me set up, offer to take content or check people in and stay late to break down. That’s love. There were women including Elle the photographer who literally bought a yellow outfit to meet the attire request. That’s love. That’s the give and take of what it means to be in community and those moments make L2L so much more than an event series. This era of L2L is one I’ll never forget and that’s why it was important for me to host an event like this for Nashville.”
