Juneteenth has now been recognized as a federal holiday. People all across America will be celebrating the day slavery was officially abolished in Galveston, Tx. The National Museum of African American Music hosted a hype Juneteenth Block Party Celebration on Saturday, June 19th. It was filled with lots of fun, bonding, and live music, including an appearance from YoYo on the rooftop of 5th and Broadway. This was but a portion of the amazing events they have hosted throughout this month of June.

Now, that’s summer is officially here, make sure to plan your trip to the¬†National Museum of African American Music and look out for more fun events!
