The Nashville Symphony Brings Back “Music in my Neighborhood”

The Nashville Symphony, the primary ambassador for classical music in Music City since 1946, is hosting a weeklong musical takeover of the North Nashville Bordeaux neighborhood in Nashville. From February 12 through 17 the symphony is partnering with local organizations to highlight North Nashville and Bordeaux’s history, culture, and residents through a series of free ensemble performances, educational programs, and unique collaborations.

The Symphony strives to serve the city of Nashville by working with the community to make music for the community. “Working with local leaders, artists, and organizations has been a vital part of this process. Our goal is to highlight the amazing things already happening in the neighborhood, and we welcome everyone to join us in celebrating North Nashville and Bordeaux.” says Nashville Symphony VP of Education and Community Engagement, Kimberly Kraft McLemore.
