“The Joy Sutton Show” launched its first season as a podcast, after four seasons as talk show on a network affiliate in Virginia, to reach even more women from across the globe. The show’s host, a Nashville transplant, communication strategist, and media coach, Joy Sutton, dives into inspirational and empowering conversations with women who have turned their passions into purpose and profit. Sutton also explores and unpacks self-care tools and strategies with featured coaches and lifestyle experts to help listeners move forward in their own journey. A new episode is released every other Tuesday on several podcasting apps, including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Pandora, Stitcher and RadioPublic.
“The world needs more women, who believe in the power of their dreams, relentlessly fight for what they believe in, and stand firm in who they are and their purpose, especially during these uncertain times of social injustice and inequity. I want this podcast to be a foundation and launchpad for women across the country and a source of hope and encouragement,” said Joy Sutton. “For the woman who needs to hear her own voice, I want this podcast to give her a voice. The podcast brings female listeners a tribe of successful, supportive, and encouraging women in their lives. We are the sum of the people we surround ourselves with, and this is the time that women are needed to step up and shine their light in the world.”
When you take a leap of faith and go after your dreams, you show another woman it’s possible
“The Joy Sutton Show” is more than a podcast; it’s a movement of women who are owning their shine. “When you take a leap of faith and go after your dreams, you show another woman it’s possible,” said Sutton. “I’m also on my own journey to live my best life and I want to share that with my listeners as well.”
Sutton’s career journey started as a TV news reporter and anchor for a CBS affiliate. Since then, she’s jumped off a cliff or two. She launched her own TV talk show on a network affiliate in her 30’s and stepped into a lead marketing role for a national company in her 40’s. Now, Sutton is on a mission to help women shine through her podcast and SheShines Academy, a coaching program to help women become influencers in their niche.
