August 1 – Songwriting With Soldiers

SongwritingWith: Soldiers is an organization founded by singer-songwriter Darden Smith focused on helping soldiers cope with memories of combat. Veterans and active service members are partnered with professional songwriters to communicate their unique struggles that came with the aftermath of combat. Join SongwritingWith: Soldiers for their concert on August 1. Tickets are $20 and the concert will also premiere on PBS in the fall. 

August 2 – R+Bae Live Vol. 4 

It’s #BaeTime again! @randbaemusic is back on August 2nd at @analognashville! Live performance by Nashville’s own @iamchuckindigo, dueling DJs & R&B karaoke. Nothing but R&B all night! It’s a #WholeMood!

August 3 – Fire on the Water Music Festival

Mark your calendar for the second annual Fire On The Water Music Festival. The festival will take place at lock 4 Park in Gallatin, TN. Fire on the Water will feature live circus and fire entertainers, food trucks, and beautiful views. Don’t miss it!

August 8, 2019 – Urbaanite Nashville Guidebook Launch Party 

For our loyal Urbaanite readers, locals, newbies, students and tourists this party is for you. Come out to grab a copy of our newest Nashville Guidebook created for the culture and experience some of the local businesses and places we share plus meet other Nashville locals. August 9-10 – Tomato Art Fest

The famous Tomato Art Fest is rapidly approaching! Taking place in East Nashville’s 5 Points area, come to the Tomato Art Fest for a fun day of music, costumes, food, art, and family fun. The festival offers free admission but also offers two ticketed events to enhance your festival experience. Get ready for lots of fun and tomato puns!

August 16 – Full Moon Pickin’ Party

Come to Warner Park Equestrian Center for Middle Tennessee’s favorite event! Bring your friends and family to the Full Moon Pickin’ Party for bluegrass and blues, delicious food vendors, live band performances, and more! Purchase your tickets online or pay in cash at the gate. 

August 17 – Art Deco Affair

Frist Art Museum is hosting Art Deco Affair, a summer fundraiser for the art center, on August 17 at 7 p.m. The fundraiser pays tribute to the history of Frist Art Museum and all things art deco. Bring your friends to mingle over cocktails, enjoy music from a live DJ and celebrate Frist Art Museum. Purchase your tickets online. 

August 22-23 – The Boutique Collective

The Boutique Collective presented by The Warehouse Collective gives women the chance to shop for the latest high end fashion from boutiques in the Southeast without breaking the bank. The two-day event will begin with the Tastemakers Launch Party for people who purchase a Tastemakers ticket and will end on Friday with an all day shopping event. You won’t want to miss this!

August 24-25 – J Street Live

Live music is coming back to Jefferson Street! Hosted by Joshua Mundy, J Street Live is all about bringing the classic feeling of Jefferson Street back to Nashville. Come to J Street Live for food, fun, great vibes, and most importantly, great music. RSVP for your free ticket online.
