The 5th annual Black Maternal Health Week in Nashville hosted by Birth Manifesta was a week of awareness, education, reclamation and community building. Hot topics about the intersection of reproductive justice and civil rights were led by some of our local leading ladies on the front lines of policy and change. The wrap up event concluded with an evening of Community, Conversation, and Celebration with Senator London Lamar and Councilwoman Sharon Hurt in attendance.

On Tuesday, April 19th, Tanzye Hill, the owner of Birth Manifesta, was presented with a Resolution for BMHW from Councilwoman Sharon Hurt in front the council.
