Urbaanite, We Sound Crazy, and 92Q hosted the annual Nashville Black Music Month Kickback with performers and DJ’s to reign in our beautiful culture and people. We got the chance to see Sapphyre Blu perform, a powerful country artist who recently brought her voice and intentional lyricism to the Music City. An Ohio raised and LA based artist, Sapphyre recently moved to Nashville to immerse herself fully in the country music scene and pursue her passion.

Title: Artist
What brought you to Nashville? To integrate myself further into the country music community.
Tell us what you are creating in Nashville? I am a country soul singer; I am bringing stories of love, loss, purpose and resilience to country to empower the nation to be authentically themselves. To know that they can achieve anything and that everything needed is already within.
What inspires you? I’m inspired by life itself. I think it’s so complex and beautiful. Everything has a purpose that’s already within, it just needs to be activated and it blossoms.
Coffee, lunch, brunch, or happy hour? Brunch
What excites you about Nashville? Just the unknown and untapped possibilities. I’m excited to see what unfolds and I’m keeping my mind open with no expectations. I’m just going to be apart and observe.
What is your favorite Nashville spot you are digging right now? I’ve only been here a few weeks so I haven’t settled on a favorite yet.
