Meet The Urbaanite: Jehlin D. Hayes

Meet Jehlin D. Hayes, a current senior at Nashville Big Picture High School. He is the son of two teenage parents but raised by his mom Bianca King. Jehlin enjoys family, loves music, and has plans to be a Landscape Architect and musician. He has plans to attend Clark Atlanta University in August. He is an only child who joined the Boys & Girls Club at age 4.

Being a member of the Andrew Jackson Boys & Girls Club he’s had the opportunity to host Galas, speak before the United States Secretary of Education and advocate at the State Senate on behalf of his peers. This year Jehlin was become TN Youth of the Year, beating club kids from Memphis, Smoky Mountains, and Maury County.  His humility and ability to speak before crowds and command attention have led him to this moment. We hope you enjoy meeting this Urbaanite.
