Jada Thompson is a true writer at heart. An English major and graduate of the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, she has always been inspired by uncovering and sharing people’s stories. She was our Urbaanite Summer 2024 Intern and has made an amazing impact with the stories she captured. Jada is a sweet spirit poised to begin sharing more of her hometown every week as our Editorial Coordinator. She is also taking on freelance writing projects and other communications opportunities. Tell us what you are creating in Nashville: I am Urbaanite’s brand new editorial coordinator. Writing is my bread and butter; I have a passion for telling the stories of our people, our city, and our culture.
What inspires you? I am inspired by my faith in Jesus Christ and my amazing family and friends.

Favorite Nashville musician, singer or artist? Coco Jones is absolutely killing it right now; that’s my girl.
What is your favorite Nashville spot you are digging right now? Pelato is my absolute favorite restaurant. I think about that vodka pasta and cacio e pepe every single day.
