How many years have you been in Nashville? I’ve been in the Middle Tennessee area for 18 years. I originally came to Murfreesboro, TN to go to MTSU back in 2000. After graduating, I moved to Atlanta and returned to a completely different Nashville in 2012.
Tell us what you are creating in Nashville? As the owner of theg2experience, my goal is to craft exceptional and unforgettable moments for Nashville’s cultured professionals. Utilizing the city’s dynamic venues, I take on the role of an event curator and DJ aiming to highlight Nashville’s evolving social landscape. My aim is to cater to the desires of both the city’s burgeoning scene and the like-minded individuals seeking to relish Nashville’s charm.
What inspires you? My inspiration stems from the gratifying feedback I receive from people enjoying the events and music I curate. Additionally, witnessing individuals embrace their creative potential also fuels my passion. It’s these interactions and moments that drive me to continually create and innovate.
Coffee, lunch, brunch, or happy hour? I prefer happy hour. There’s nothing like rewarding yourself with a beverage or two after work to celebrate the day’s accomplishments or break up the monotony of the week. My favorite happy hour drink at the moment is a Spicy Margarita.
Describe Nashville in 3 words ? Nashville is evolving
Favorite Nashville musician, singer or artist? Shabazz Larkin is my favorite Nashville artist. I really enjoy his artwork and appreciate his aesthetic and how he illustrates black culture in his paintings. His “Heavens to Marcy” is my favorite.
What is your favorite Nashville spot you are digging right now? As a steward of the social scene I have a few favorites. If I want to party and dance, I’ll hit Rum Room and if I want to enjoy a drink in an intimate chill spot, I go to Attaboy. The atmosphere is very sexy.
