Tell us what you are creating in Nashville? In Nashville, during the WE Fest, my students and I are pouring aluminum scratch tiles for the public. Outside of this event, I am helping to foster the next generation of students interested in sculpture. I make new sculpture work as time permits.
What gets you into your creative space? I am inspired by how materials and processes can challenge and also galvanize communities of various backgrounds and perspectives. I am also inspired by how materials can serve as a metaphor for political constructs and discussions. Something is enlightening about the maker pushing a material, and in return, the material grounding the maker.
