This Texan native turned Nashville local and his company, Jammber is on a mission to help musicians get organized and paid on time. Think Paypal meets Quickbooks for the music industry.

Tell us a little about your business::

Jammber helps creatives get paid faster by simplifying the paperwork and payment processes involved in creating music, performances, theater and the the like.

How did you get started::

My journey really started by coming from a family of artists, musicians and public speakers.  The arts are not only a part of my life, they are intrinsic to it.  When I discovered computer programming at an early age it set me on a collision course where I’d find myself at the intersection of art and commerce in ways I could have never imagined.  Combine those backgrounds with my personal frustrations of how hard it can be to organize and monetize creative teams and Jammber is the result.

Our community loves living local, what makes your local business different::

I like to say that Jammber was conceived in Chicago but born in Nashville.  What makes Jammber different from other providers out there (like a PayPal) is that it’s built from the ground up with musicians in mind.  We intimately understand the forces and situations that impeded their earnings and we’ve built technology and services that remove those forces.  All of your favorite features in Jammber were conceived by a local musican, producer, A&R person or label exec.  That’s what makes us special.

Quote and/or Scripture you live by::

Of all the scriptures I’ve read, I really embraced and internalized Jeremiah 29:11.  In fact, I have the Hebrew reference tattooed on my arm!  For me personally, it just speaks to the heart of God and reminds me the Universe is setup for our success and not our failure. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.[

In Nashville we love to brunch, happy hour or coffee/tea it up. What do you prefer and why::

So many great places to go! 5th & Taylor is a great restaurant a short walk from my home.  The outdoor patio has a great vibe.  I typically get a Titos Martini and the bacon-wrapped quail! It’s a very Germantown experience.
