Look Back: State of Black Design Conference in Nashville

Nashville had the honor of hosting the first in-person State of Black Design Conference last week. The vision of creator, Omari Souza, it has has garnered over 12,000 virtual attendees over the last 4 years it was hosted. The conference brought together leading Black designers, activists,  educators, recruiters, and students from across the country. As Omari shared, “The conference fostered like-minded individuals and industry leaders to unite, share knowledge, and inspire one another. The richness of discussions, the exchange of ideas, and the connections forged have set a new benchmark for what we can achieve collectively”.The event was held over 3 days at Tennessee State University, including workshops, networking and career development opportunities.
