We took to the streets this Juneteenth weekend and ya’ll showed up. There were events all weekend long and we loved to see it. Special screenings of the Black Panther with the Nashville Symphony, a “Freedom Ride”, races, parades, and celebrations at the National Museum for African American Music filled the weekend with a little something for everyone. Urbaanite covered Juneteenth615 at Fort Negley Park and Black on Buchanan with the Equity Alliance and we definitely had a time!

On June 17th, Black on Buchanan filled Buchanan Street with Black owned businesses, amazing food trucks and activities, and even better vibes. On Juneteenth we gathered again, despite the rain, at Fort Negley Park for more food, community and fireworks. It was great to see everyone out and living their best!
