D’Llisha Davis is about to take the ville by storm with her new music and events venture, Kinesixx.

With music and connection at the forefront, this experimental event experience is designed to keep attendees on their toes—offering a fresh experience with every event.

“I think the exciting part is knowing you can show up to an event and never have the same experience twice. It might be in a new space, have a science-driven element, or freshly tap into social interaction. I want to keep people on their toes—whether it’s smaller gatherings, brand collaborations, or partnerships with bigger companies. For me, it’s about starting fresh and filling some of the voids I see in today’s social scene.”

D’Llisha, a Nashville-Native and seasoned vibe curator, hopes this venture will provide a safe space for people who look like her.

“With every event I’ve done, the mission has always been the same: to create a consistent space where we feel safe, welcomed, and free to be our unapologetic selves. That’s the foundation of everything I do. I’m from here—I’ve watched this city grow, and I’ve also seen how often we’ve been left out of the blueprint.”

In a city whose mainstream musical events often omit the sounds of Black folks, Kinnesixx aims to highlight the tunes we know and love.

“Whether it’s R&B, hip hop, soul, or jazz—I’ve been in a lot of spaces where the music just isn’t there. The vibe might be good, but Nashville is still notorious for centering country music and country artists. With Kinesixx, it’s important to me to create spaces where people can truly celebrate and feel seen through the music.”

D’Llisha’s first event is set to do just that. Happening July 26 at Brooklyn Bowl, 2Live From the Ville ’90s/’00s bash, will celebrate nostalgia through music while spotlighting longstanding local businesses and influential figures. Among those figures is Uncle Luke, who will be hosting and celebrating 40 years of Luke Records.

“With this first event, it’s an ode to the eras that we all grew to love with a 90s and 2000s bash hosted by Uncle Luke. The event is an appreciation of nostalgia that we all grew to love during those eras – whether it be the music, the cultural interactions, the clothing. It will be a snapshot of that era and implanting it into the event that is July 26th.”

Kinesixx isn’t just another event series—it’s a whole movement. D’Llisha Davis is bringing something fresh to Nashville: a cultural shift, rooted in movement, where music, connection, and community come first. And she’s doing it her way.

“It’s important to me to be able to go in these spaces and have the creative freedom to openly support and welcome small businesses, young professionals who are Black and Brown, and those music lovers who are coming in just looking to have a good time.”

With every detail rooted in purpose, Kinesixx is here to create space for us, unapologetically. July 26 is just the kickoff, and trust: it’s about to set the tone.

The vibe is shifting in Nashville, and D’Llisha Davis is leading the charge. Don’t miss it.
