Ashley Garth, founder of Glow Up Juice Co. didn’t set out to start a juice company. She was focused on her own health journey and discovered how transformative juicing can be for your lifestyle. After losing 50 lbs through juicing and fasting, she decided to take her personal experience gained and begin sharing her juicing recipes in hopes they could help others on their health journey. Through real fruit, ingredients, and intention, Ashley is growing a brand that is getting the attention of locals and companies across the city. “Juicing and fasting became tools that helped me reconnect with myself, “Ashley shares.

Located inside the food incubation concept, Citizens Kitchen, Glow Up Juice Co. offers cold-pressed juices for the busy professionals, fitness communities, and corporate wellness programs across Nashville. As Ashley reflects, “I wanted to create something that could help other people start their own journey too.” Learn more about Ashley’s health journey and the steps you can start for your own transformation through juicing.

What sparked your interest in juicing?

I think it started with understanding that community is not a popularity trend, but our responsibility. I’ve spent more than two decades convening, connecting, and executing at the intersection of culture, communications, economic development and community, and Nashville has given me a front-row seat to some incredible transformation.

What do you feel are the key benefits to juicing?

I think juicing is a practical way to make more fruits and vegetables part of your routine, especially if you are busy or still learning what you enjoy. Fresh produce naturally provides vitamins, minerals, and other plant compounds that support overall health. Juice also contributes fluid, which can make it a refreshing way to hydrate.

One thing I always want people to understand is that juice works best as part of a full wellness routine. Whole fruits, vegetables, beans, lentils, and oats still matter because they provide the fiber that supports fullness, digestion, and a healthy gut microbiome. That is why I see juice as a bridge, not a replacement for eating real food.

For me, cold-pressed juice has been a simple way to be more intentional. It made it easier to add ingredients like kale, ginger, pineapple, lemon, and fresh fruit to my day. When people begin with blends they actually enjoy, it can help them build healthier habits one choice at a time.

Why did you decide to launch Glow Up Juice Co.?

Glow Up Juice Co. was born from my own journey. I did not start out thinking I was going to build a juice business. I was simply learning how to take better care of myself. Once I saw how much juicing and fasting helped me transform physically and mentally, I wanted to create something that could help other people start their own journey too. Glow Up Juice Co. is about making wellness feel more accessible, enjoyable, and rooted in real fruit, real ingredients, and real intention.

What has it looked like starting a new business as an entrepreneur?

Starting this business has been exciting because I am stepping into a venture that truly changed my life and helped me become a better version of myself. It has also required faith, discipline, and a willingness to learn as I go. Every new customer, event, partnership, and bottle I make reminds me that I am building something with purpose. There are challenges, of course, but it feels good to grow a business that reflects my values and allows me to help people at the same time.

What is a go-to juice for someone beginning their juicing journey?

For someone just getting started, I always recommend a watermelon blend when melons are in season. It is naturally refreshing, familiar, and easy to enjoy. You can keep it simple with watermelon or add cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, and lime for more flavor. Starting with something that tastes good to you is important because wellness should feel enjoyable, not intimidating. From there, you can slowly explore greener blends and find what works best for your lifestyle.
