We Got Soul (Father’s Day Movie Night): Slim and Husky’s

A great opportunity for fathers and younger children to connect. The viewing of the hit animation film, “Soul” by Disney Pixar, a movie sure to offer a great message. Pizza, Cinnamon Rolls, and a Cocktail bar will be onsite. Come kick back and relax at the pizza park, don’t forget to bring your chairs and beach towels! This event will take place on June 20th, 2021 and Doors will open at 6:30 pm and the film will begin at 8:00 pm.

Juneteenth 2021 at The Frist: The Frist Art Museum 

Here you will be able to enjoy some free art-making activities. There will also be a viewing of N2020: Community Reflections by artist Woke3. This artist transformed different occurrences in his neighborhood into a 47-minute video. Showcasing a range of arts and connecting them to make this powerful presentation. You will not want to miss this creative experience. This event will take place on June 19th, 2021 from 11 am – 4 pm in the Turner courtyard and Frist auditorium.

Juneteenth Block Party: NMAAM

Come to the Rooftop of 5th and Broadway where you can enjoy this friendly event featuring live music performances, food, and vendors. A wonderful opportunity to connect, mingle, and just have a great time bonding over African American culture. This event will take place on June 19th, 2021 from 11 am – 4 pm.

Black on Buchanan: The Equity Alliance 

This is an amazing celebration of the history of black culture. A few black businesses will be highlighted at this event. Great opportunity to connect and interact with community members. Juneteenth615: AACA and FELLAVISION

Come have fun and enjoy the warming sun at Fort Negley Park. A wonderful time to bond with your family while watching some fireworks, the staple of displaying appreciation. There will be music, so make sure Dad hits the dance floor and bust out those moves. Food trucks will also be on-site on June 19th, 2021 from 6 pm – 10 pm.
