Nashville is still one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. With growth, the suburbs and area around the city are just as vibrant, giving people an opportunity for a local experience and a fun day out. There are over 15+ Nashville Suburbs and our summer interns ventured out to explore some of the local Black-Owned businesses in our series, Explore Middle TN.

An Urbaanite Day In Clarksville

Clarksville is located northwest of Nashville, TN. It is one of the oldest cities in Tennessee, with over 185,000 residents. Known as a military town, it is home to Fort Campbell and the 101st Airborne Division. The city has grown with a variety of offerings from outdoor activities with over 34 local and state parks, boating, to historic architecture and family-friendly fun. It is also home to Austin Peay University and hosts a lot of great annual festivals that are worth the drive. Our summer interns made a fun day out of exploring the area. Check out their itinerary, then head out for a day in Murfreesboro.
