Nashville’s only botanical garden celebrates all things fall every year during its seasonal festival, Cheekwood Harvest. This year, they have some amazing harvest-inspired workshops to participate in. Whether you are looking to hone in on your gardening skills, floral design or another artistic creation, the Cheekwood Harvest Workshops truly have something for everyone to get offline and discover a new skill set without an extreme commitment.
Upcoming workshops include:
Mixed Media Nicho Boxes – October 21
Nicho Boxes, or simply, ‘nicho’ are small, decorative display boxes, often used as part of an ofrenda, or altar, to honor late loved ones during El Día de los Muertos.
Artist-In-Residence Workshop – October 21
Join Cheekwood’s 2024 Artist in Residence, Sarah Nguyen, as she shares insight on her creative process, and explores the relationship between cut paper art and the impacts of light and shadow on the overall piece. Participants will then use what they’ve learned to produce their own cut paper creation.
Cheekwood is always the move if you want to truly experience that fall feeling, and this year will not disappoint. See you there!
