Britney Jones

Founder, CEO, & Lead Stylist, Bennett Beauty Solutions

Her Story

Britney Jones is a woman of many talents. With an armory of skills from years in the medical field, and a decade of experience within the haircare industry, she is the definition of ambition, staying the course, and trusting the process. As Founder, CEO, and Lead Stylist at Bennett Beauty Solutions, LLC, Britney helps women who have experienced hair loss reclaim their confidence through haircare, extensions, and cranial prosthesis application.

A native Nashvillian and graduate of Hunters Lane, and a student of various colleges, including Tennessee State University, her career trajectory, at times, wasn’t always clear or straight. But after speaking with her, there is no question it was divinely ordained and every step was properly and precisely ordered.

Urged by her mom to go to college, Britney struggled with determining her exact career path. She explored business, entrepreneurship, and pre-nursing while working in salons. Though the medical field sharpened her skills and discipline, she knew it wasn’t her final destination. Still, the desire to help people never left her.

In the midst of the pandemic, she took hair school classes virtually. The idea arose of opening up a salon of her own – but what would that look like? Unfulfilled with the idea of just opening a standard salon, Britney grew frustrated with the internal tug-of-war of determining which path was hers to claim.

It was a trip to California, with her kids in tow, where the path became clear. On this trip, where she hoped to escape and take a breath from the indecisiveness of her career, God gave her a vision. It was up to her to carry it out.

Soon after, Britney volunteered at the American Cancer Society in the Look Good, Feel Better program. Here she saw firsthand the effects of people experiencing hair loss. During this program, she learned to help women mask their hair loss through unrealistic wigs or teaching makeup techniques. Interested in diving into this issue further, she traveled to Ohio for a trichology course.

Here, the mission became evident.

The Work

Bennett Beauty Solutions is the culmination of Britney’s journey. It is a place where all the struggle, the angst and confusion, combined to place her exactly where she was supposed to be – a place where her medical prowess and her skills behind the chair intersect. Through non-surgical hair replacement options, she helps women every day reclaim their sense of self.

The birth of Bennett Beauty Solutions was personal.

“I have had family members that have dealt with hair loss for years that I knew nothing about because of how they hid it. As I got older, I realized there are a lot of women, specifically Black women, who have loved ones, friends or themselves that don’t know what options they have.”

For Britney, hair is not just about appearance – it’s love, identity, and confidence.

“For me to be able to say ‘I got you, you can still wear a really nice hairstyle because other places don’t offer as many options’ – that’s everything. As Black women, we need our hair to be right, to be laid, and I am about to give them those options.”

As a certified cosmetologist, hair loss specialist, cranial prosthetist, and phlebotomist, Britney has a range of expertise. Partnering with doctors, oncologists, and dermatologists, she ensures her clients receive the best possible care. Her work is not about masking hair loss—it’s about education, options, and reclamation.

Beyond the Salon

In a field that feels heavy, I wondered what keeps Britney motivated to keep going. Her answer? The faith that carried her through every season.

“Knowing that this is something God has already set up for me, I’ve already seen the bigger picture. Keeping myself centered in God.”

After a short conversation with Britney, it became evident that her life’s purpose doesn’t end when she leaves the salon. In her free time, Britney continues to pour back into her community, working at long-term care facilities. And perhaps, if she wants to take some time off from doing the Lord’s work, Britney enjoys a good Sunday night spent at Rivergate Skate Center and a simple Triple Dipper from Chili’s.

That community-oriented spirit isn’t just on Britney, it’s in her, permeating through each and every facet of her life.  From a young Nashvillian unsure of her path to a visionary stylist transforming lives, Britney embodies what it means to trust the process and walk in purpose. That is what makes her the perfect recipient of Nashville’s Not Just Country recognition.
