If you have not heard about pickleball, let’s first catch you up. It is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and resembles tennis in which players use paddles to hit a ball over a net. Points are calculated a little different and servers move and switch out more frequently than tennis. It is also definitely more of a communal game that attracts players of all ages and skill levels. Truly anyone can play and pick up the rules pretty quickly. The Bobby Hotel decided to capitalize on this fun sport by creating what they do best, a themed rooftop experience.
In partnership with Dinkville, Nashville’s #1 pickleball community, Bobby Nashville’s custom rooftop pickleball court is back for another year of fun under the sun. The rooftop court brings a playful, health-focused experience to the heart of downtown, offering something unexpected for guests, locals, and meeting planners alike. “The partnership with Dinkville deepens our connection to the Nashville community and local pickleball culture”, shares Conner McKiever, Senior PR Manager at Bobby Hotel.
Dinkville was started by Landon Hallam as a way to connect the pickleball community. A game and community he discovered during COVID when pickleball seemed to have a tremendous uptick in interest. “Everything was shut down and that’s when the sport really just started to be the most popular sport in America and just like everyone else, I was trying to find people to play with. That’s like the main thing with Pickleball you want people to play with so that was my main goal when starting Dinkville”, shares Landon.
The themed rooftop experience also provides specialty cocktails and a fun bites menu for all who decide to book time on the court for family and friends. Cocktails are inspired by pickleball including:
