The Equity Alliance is hosting its fourth annual Black Women’s Empowerment Weekend in partnership with Metro Nashville Public Schools July 7th-8th. This year’s theme is “Celebrating the New Renaissance.” Through a dual tract symposium, live performances, and immersive installations, this event will celebrate all things #BlackGirlMagic. Here’s what you need to know:

  • The Friday Night Summit will have amazing wisdom for women in every walk of life.  Guest speakers will guide lively discussions on relationships, health and wellness, finances, career and entrepreneurship, and individual social responsibility.
  • Saturday morning brunch? Yes please. The family-style Brunch will include live performances, an open bar, and a networking reception with a vendor marketplace and will honor and celebrate three amazing women in the community.
  • We will take any opportunity we can to celebrate Black women! “Black women epitomize strength, resiliency, versatility, femininity, and beauty – not to mention the power we exude when focusing on individual and collective healing, power-building, and wealth-generating,” said Tequila Johnson, TEA co-founder and CEO.
