Looking to meet new people, stay active, and get your body right for the summer? Nashville has fitness groups for you! Check out these local fitness groups perfect for the urban professionals working and living their best life.

Music City Dope Pedalers

Music City Dope Pedalers was founded by Nate the Great and is a Music City cycle squad focused on activity, fellowship, and exploration. They meet up at The Local Distro each Friday at 6pm to ride together with route leaders like Tad Morgan. All riding levels are welcome. Specialty rides and events are planned as well.

 

Black Girls Run Nashville

Black Girls Run was founded by Jay Ell Alexander as a way to honor and combat the obesity epidemic within the African-American community. Their goal is to serve as a fitness resource and encourage black women to actively participate in a healthy lifestyle. Several communities across the US are represented by this organization, including Nashville. Various events and programs which incorporate community mission areas are offered.

 

Domestique Cycling Club

Domestique Cycling Club offers a Tuesday & Thursday road cycling club for cyclists of all experience levels in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. They have a goal to provide supportive skill development. Ride calendar dates can be found on their group MeetUp page, and community conversation can be found in the private Facebook Group.

 

Black Girls Do Bike

Black Girls Do Bike is a non profit organization in support of a community of women who have a passion for cycling. There are over 100 chapters in the US, including the Nashville Chapter. The organization brings awareness to cycling by cycling together in community events.

 

Black Men Run Nashville

Black Men Run is a healthy brotherhood focused on encouraging African American males becoming more active to improve physical and mental fitness. The Nashville chapter runs together in support of several supportive community events, and is The home of the Black Men Run, Brown Boys Read.

 

6Run5

6RUN5 is Nashville’s newest run club. The club recognizes running solo can be challenging, so they gather at The Local District for two weekly runs to ensure there is togetherness and accountability. Wednesdays at 6pm, and the Saturday option will be set soon. They believe there is No Last Place. Cinco Party at The W Hotel

The W Hotel has partnered with Withco Cocktails and Los Sundays Tequila to present a Cinco Party focused on community and cocktails. Music will be provided by DJ Cisco Carter. Party is located behind the lobby in The Sound Room on Saturday the 7th. Free admission and the first 50 guests receive a swag bag.
