Urbaanite was invited to attend a breakfast hosted by St. Jude last week which allowed all attendees to get a glimpse into the great work they do. St. Jude gathered a room of African American influencers to share the impact St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is making on the lives of children and families all over the world and to invite their support of its upcoming events in 2020.
Host Included Aerial Ellis, Robert Sherrill, Marie Sueing, and Alfred Degrafinreid. Remarks were shared by Bruce Demps, long-time St. Jude advocate and advisor, currently based in Atlanta, GA. Several members of the Nashville Chapter of The Links attended, including Gail Carr-Williams, Nashville Chapter President. Elected officials in attendance included Lonnell Matthews, Juvenile Court Clerk, and Sharon Dixon Gentry, Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education. The event was sponsored by Delta Dental of Tennessee and the event was graciously hosted by Butler Snow at their offices in The Pinnacle Building. See a little bit of what you missed below!
