Nashville-based Howard University Alumni gathered to celebrate the University’s 157th Charter Day!

Howard University was founded on March 2, 1867, by Civil War hero Gen. Oliver O. Howard, who also served as its president and leader of the Freedmen’s Bureau.

Howard University, a private, research university comprising of 14 schools and colleges, produces more on-campus African American Ph.D. recipients than any other university in the United States.

As alumni, they want to continue representing Howard’s commitment to Excellence in Truth and Service as business professionals, doctors, lawyers, teachers, nonprofit leaders and entrepreneurs in this city.

Tennessee State University will also play Howard in one of the most anticipated HBCU games on October 19 in DC. That is going to be time y’all! (Game details here).
