A Little Nashville History series is our ode to all things Black History in the city.

Our beloved Nashville HBCU TSU Aristocrat of Bands just won a historic Grammy win, Best Roots Gospel Album for “Urban Hymnal”. This makes them the first HBCU to win a Grammy! The album was co-produced by TSU Professor Larry Jenkins, Assistant Director of AOB and member of Brassville. The students worked hard and Professor Jenkins used some of his own funding to get the project complete. To see hard work and creativity recognized on such a notable stage is truly inspiring.

Make sure to listen to The Urban Hymnal.
