  • Preston Taylor’s efforts should also be remembered with this fact. I don’t know the defining stipulation for first public park But I think this fact has been misrepresented in the city of Nashville. Greenwood Park was a 40 acre amusement park and green space built for and by African American predates Hadley Park. Greenwood Cemetery is the only remaining part of the original park.
