Why is Sara lovin’ Nashville right now?
Honestly, I know it’s kind of backward and most people would complain about it, but I love all the construction happening. It’s exciting to see the city grow and change. I was born in Nashville, so I remember when “downtown” started at 2nd Avenue and ended at the Bridgestone Arena. Now there are areas like 12th South, the Gulch, and Hillsboro Village to explore, and the list is only growing. Also, the construction sites create some cool backgrounds for Instagram pics 😉
Morning
Breakfast at Ruby Sunshine in Hillsboro Village. After munching on some breakfast tacos and sipping my morning mimosas, I can walk off the meal while shopping at some local shops. And if I go on the right morning, there’s a pop-up thrift shop!
Afternoon
My afternoon would be spent in Green Hills Mall. It’s recently opened another wing with some fun shops like Zara, Morphe, Crate & Barrel, and even some local shops. Whether I’m window shopping at Tiffany’s, snacking on an Auntie Annie’s pretzel, or browsing the sales at Macy’s, I’m always guaranteed a good day.
Evening
What’s better than a late-night rooftop? Nothing! LA Jackson is a beautiful rooftop lounge that overlooks the city. There’s a gorgeous view, great drinks, and a fun iconic tree to get some insta pics by. Sip a signature cocktail or have a late-night snack and end the night in the best way possible.
Bonus
If you have time, definitely go mural hunting. There are many classics to find around town and there are always new ones being painted. The Gulch has the #WhatLiftsYou wings, One Drop Ink has a beautiful “afro-tastic” masterpiece, and there’s an entire block full at 3020 Charlotte Ave.
