Why is Karen lovin’ Nashville right now?
A lot has happened for me in this city. I went to school here, I work here, and earlier this year my husband passed away here.
With the passing of my husband, I got a dog and in this new season I have been able to experience unexpected new places that are also dog-friendly destinations. For a person like me, who really depends on having a dog, I really appreciate the fact that I can continue to explore the city with my dog by my side.
This is a place where you can definitely expect people to be very friendly. Everyone is so giving and warm, and if they make an offer to you, they truly mean it. I can say, there’s a lot of love in Nashville.
Morning
My favorite thing is brunch and taking my dog with me. I love Jack Brown’s on Sundays. They have a delicious burger called the Brockman that’s only available on Sundays. It’s an over medium egg with bacon on a glazed doughnut, and it is heavenly!
Afternoon
Sedona in Germantown is a great place for happy hour. They offer so many different happy hour events and specials and even have a Sunday brunch. The location is also very dog friendly. Their white sangria is really good!
Evening
51 North Taproom in the Nations is super dog friendly. They have great drinks, a yummy dinner menu, and a weekend brunch that’s also pretty tasty. Your dog can sit on the patio with you as you enjoy a delicious meal.
